Instructions

1

Cook the Spaghetti

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.

Pro tip: Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining.

2

Prepare the Seafood

If using frozen seafood, thaw it in the refrigerator overnight or under cold running water. Pat dry with paper towels.

Pro tip: Ensure all seafood is cleaned and prepped before cooking.

3

Cook the Garlic

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.

Pro tip: Do not let the garlic burn.

4

Add Wine and Tomatoes

Pour in the white wine and let it simmer for 2 minutes. Add the diced tomatoes and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 5 minutes.

Pro tip: Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.

5

Cook the Seafood

Add shrimp, scallops, mussels, and clams to the skillet. Cover and cook until the seafood is cooked through and the mussels and clams have opened, about 5-7 minutes. Check that the internal temperature of the shrimp and scallops reaches 145°F / 63°C by inserting a food thermometer into the thickest part of the shrimp and scallops. The shrimp should be opaque and the scallops should be firm.

Pro tip: Discard any mussels or clams that do not open.

6

Combine and Serve

Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet and toss with the sauce and seafood. If needed, add reserved pasta water to adjust consistency. Season with salt and pepper. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Pro tip: Serve immediately while hot.

Serving Suggestions

Serve your Seafood Spaghetti with a crisp green salad and a glass of white wine for a complete meal. If you have leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two days. When reheating, do so gently to avoid overcooking the seafood. This dish can also be made ahead by preparing the sauce and cooking the pasta separately. Combine and heat them together just before serving for a quick and delicious meal.
