Instructions
Prepare the ribs
Preheat the oven to 160°C (325°F). Cut the ribs into sections of 3-4 ribs each.
Make the marinade
In a bowl, combine soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, rice vinegar, and sesame oil. Stir until well combined.
Pro tip: Adjust the sweetness by adding more honey if desired.
Marinate the ribs
Place the ribs in a large resealable plastic bag and pour the marinade over them. Seal and massage the marinade into the ribs. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.
Pro tip: For maximum flavour, marinate overnight.
Bake the ribs
Remove the ribs from the marinade and place them on a baking sheet lined with foil. Cover with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 1.5 hours.
Pro tip: Baste the ribs with marinade every 30 minutes.
Prepare to glaze
Increase the oven temperature to 200°C (400°F). Remove the foil and brush the ribs with the remaining marinade.
Broil the ribs
Broil the ribs for 5-10 minutes until the glaze is caramelized and sticky. Keep a close eye to avoid burning.
Pro tip: For extra glaze, reserve some marinade to brush during broiling.
Tips & Tricks
- For deeper flavour, marinate the ribs overnight.
- Use fresh garlic for the best aroma and taste.
- For a sticky glaze, broil the ribs after baking.
